Happy Intern Day, Bodie!
Meet Bodie Laidlaw, MnCCC's intern and the guy behind conference planning, document management, meeting organization, marketing and outreach and so much more! MnCCC is proud to showcase Bodie for our spotlight feature, so we asked him a few questions below. Hear what he has to say!
Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Utah and moved up to Minnesota when I was 18 for college. I currently attend Hamline University studying Communications with a Media track and a Minor in Psychology. I love the outdoors and movies. If I could, I would be living on a beach somewhere directing movies.
What was your first job?
My first job ever was as an ice skating guard in the summer of 2018. That’s right ice skating in the summer… heck ya!
What is your role with MnCCC as an Intern?
I have been given the amazing opportunity of being an intern gifted with great staff. I am currently doing office work such as entering documents into Salesforce and I did a lot of preparation for the annual MnCCC conference in Alexandria. I did event coordination, scheduling, and marketing leading up to, and at that conference.
What interests you about MnCCC?
The opportunities interest me. I have only been here for a little bit and have taken in so much but it has taught me so much.
What is something on your bucket list?
I want to lie down in Seyðisfjörður in the Eastern Region of Iceland and look up to see the beauty of the world it is and the mountain that Walter Mitty long boards down on that windy road in the movie Secret Life Of Walter Mitty.
