About the Workshop

MnCCC's Information Services Support Group (ISSG) hosts an annual cybersecurity event in October. This year's event – "Secure, Defend, and Recover" – will be held on Monday, October 30 from 9 am-3:00 pm at the MCIT Building in St. Paul.

Sessions can range from 45-90 minutes in length, allowing time for breaks during longer sessions. Attendees are a mix of IT staff from different counties across the state, along with some cities and agencies that are either members or partners of MnCCC. Anyone is welcome to attend!

Thanks to ISSG and the Cybersecurity Committee for graciously hosting this event, the event is free to attend and meals will be provided. There will also be a prize opportunity that you won't want to miss!

We will have a networking breakfast from 9:00-9:30 am, followed by our morning speaker. Lunch will be provided around noon, and the workshop will wrap up around 3:00 pm. Speakers will be selected and an official agenda will be released in September (speaker submission deadline is September 1).

This free event is open to all MnCCC members, vendors, and partners. Feel free to share the invitation! Registration on RSVP is required so we can make sure we have enough food and space. Login or sign up at www.mnccc.gov/rsvp today!

Interested in Speaking?

Along with celebrating Cybersecurity Awareness Month, our event is also Halloween-themed. We'd love to have our presenters play along when determining session titles!

Note: While ISSG and the Cybersecurity Committee are graciously hosting this event, the speaker budget is very limited. If you require payment for your time, please list it in your proposal. This will be part of the determination process along with session content. We also ask all presenters to avoid making any sales pitch during the presentation. Thank you for understanding.

We’d love to have you join us if you’re interested. If you or someone from your organization would like to present a session at this day-long conference, please complete the form linked below. A member of MnCCC's staff will follow up to confirm your session placement and any requirements you may have.

Please submit your proposed session title, description, and supplementary information no later than Friday, September 1, 2023.
